Northeast College Board Meets, Welcomes New Trustee
The Northeast College of Health Sciences Board of Trustees welcomed a new trustee at its Fall 2021 meeting, as well as celebrated the service of its outgoing secretary. The Board also conducted additional business, including approving an honorary degree to be awarded during an upcoming commencement ceremony.
Board Updates and Changes
At the October 2021 meeting of Northeast's Board of Trustees, Mr. Randall Gentzler, MBA, joined the Board as a new trustee.
Gentzler has a strong history of leadership in higher education, serving at Philadelphia University as vice president for finance and administration /treasurer and Loyola University Maryland as chief financial and investment officer. He is past board president of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and past board chair of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
At the same meeting, the Board recognized Mrs. Laurie Reynolds, who is set to retire later this year after her longtime service as Board secretary. Reynolds is also Northeast College's executive assistant to the President.
To Be Awarded, with Honor
The Board also unanimously agreed to award Mr. Louis P. DiLorenzo, Esq., the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa. DiLorenzo is chair of the labor, employment, employee benefits and immigration practice at Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC. Northeast College honorary degrees recognize those who have made profound and enduring contributions to their discipline, scholarship, culture and improved quality of life in society at large.
The degree will be presented in December at the College's Fall 2021 Commencement Ceremony.
