See Why So Many Make the Finger Lakes a Destination.

Situated next to Cayuga Lake, our campus is surrounded by scenic byways — perfect for running, cycling or a relaxing drive. Apart from having the ability to study in a beautiful part of the country, students can kayak the Seneca-Cayuga Canal, visit the nearby gorges or go bird-watching at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. There's an adventure waiting for every season with activities like: hiking, biking, fishing, boating, kayaking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Seneca River with boars and a bridge

From races to rallies to concerts for a cause, there's always something going on in Seneca Falls. The town gained its reputation for social and religious reform in the mid-19th century as local residents supported the Underground Railroad, and it's often referred to as the birthplace of women's rights. Several historic landmarks and museums tell the story of progress and freedom, including the Elizabeth Cady Stanton House, Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry and the Women's Rights National Historic Park, to name a few.

Seneca Falls is situated close enough to Rochester and Syracuse for quick getaways and other fun adventures, and is close enough to Niagara Falls for an exciting day trip.
