Northeast College Announces New Partnership with Misericordia University
Northeast College of Health Sciences recently announced a new educational partnership with Misericordia University designed to provide students with a streamlined pathway toward earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Through the new articulation agreement, Misericordia students studying exercise science or another eligible program of interest can pursue either a 3+3 or 4+3 pathway connecting their undergraduate education at Misericordia with Northeast College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program. Northeast College of Health Sciences has campuses in New York’s Finger Lakes region and on Long Island in the New York City metropolitan area.
“This partnership with Misericordia University creates an exciting opportunity for students to connect their undergraduate education with a future in chiropractic,” said Michael Mestan, D.C., president of Northeast College of Health Sciences. “By offering both 3+3 and 4+3 pathways, we’re giving students greater flexibility while helping them save time and reduce the overall cost of their education. We look forward to supporting Misericordia students as they take the next step toward meaningful careers in healthcare and welcoming them to the Northeast community.”
Under the 3+3 pathway, eligible students can complete their undergraduate requirements at Misericordia in three years before transitioning to Northeast College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program. Students who meet the required academic criteria can secure their place in the program while saving a year of undergraduate tuition and reducing the overall time needed to complete their education.
The 4+3 pathway allows students to complete their bachelor’s degree at Misericordia before transitioning to the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Eligible students who meet the requirements outlined in the agreement will receive a streamlined admission pathway to Northeast College.
“This partnership reflects Misericordia University’s continued commitment to creating meaningful pathways that help our students achieve their academic and professional goals,” said Daniel J. Myers, Ph.D., president of Misericordia University. “By working with Northeast College of Health Sciences, we are expanding the opportunities available to our students while providing them with the flexibility and support to pursue advanced education and careers in healthcare.”
Participating students will receive guided advising and academic support to help them plan their undergraduate coursework with their future chiropractic education in mind. The coordinated approach is intended to help students avoid unnecessary coursework and remain on track toward their professional goals. Students interested in participating will work with their undergraduate advisor to determine eligibility and complete the required Letter of Intent.
The agreement strengthens the academic relationship between Northeast College and Misericordia University while expanding opportunities for students interested in advanced education in chiropractic and healthcare.
