Hands on Anatomy Instruction

Northeast College of Health Sciences and the University of Hartford in Connecticut announce a new agreement that will help students save time and money while securing their admission to Northeast College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program.

The agreement allows University of Hartford students majoring in health sciences or enrolled in any Program of Emphasis (POE) to pursue either the 4+3 or 3+3 articulation tracks toward Northeast’s Doctor of Chiropractic program.

With the 3+3 option, students can complete three years at the University of Hartford and, after meeting GPA requirements, be automatically accepted into Northeast’s Doctor of Chiropractic program, reducing the cost of their education by one full year of undergraduate tuition. The 4+3 option allows students to complete their undergraduate degree at Hartford and then transition directly into Northeast’s program once requirements are met.

“Partnerships like this are essential to Northeast College’s commitment to broadening access to graduate education,” said Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan. “We’re pleased to work with the University of Hartford to offer students clear, affordable pathways into chiropractic and health sciences careers.

Brian Swanson, interim dean of the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford, added, “The University of Hartford is proud to help students turn their exceptional undergraduate education into pathways toward graduate study in healthcare through agreements like this one with Northeast College.”

The articulation agreement was formally signed by leaders from both institutions, including Amie Redmond, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at Northeast. With coordinated advising support, students can avoid unnecessary coursework and begin their path to Northeast by submitting a Letter of Intent signed by their undergraduate advisor.
