Northeast College Hosts First-Ever Massage Therapy Career Pathways Event

Northeast College of Health Sciences held its first-ever Massage Therapy Career Pathways event Jan. 18, 2026, on the College’s Seneca Falls campus. The collaborative experience connected soon-to-be graduates with specialists from top regional spas for one-of-a-kind professional mentorship, helping prepare them for meaningful careers and long-term success in health and wellness.
The event also gave local spas early access to emerging talent in the massage therapy field. Graduating students pitched resumes and interviewed with regional businesses, while newer students gained insights from industry professionals and began building networks for their future. All participating guests are partners in the College’s Spa Immersion Program, which provides students with hands-on experience throughout their massage studies at Northeast.
Top Regional Spas Take Notice of Soon-to-Be Northeast Graduates
These highly regarded regional spas included The Spa at the Inns of Aurora in Aurora, The Spa at Woodcliff in Fairport, del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo, Willowbrook Spa at The Lake House in Canandaigua, Isabella Spa at Belhurst in Geneva, Elysian Spa in Oswego, Ska’ Na at Turning Stone in Verona and Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles.

“This weekend’s event clearly demonstrated that Northeast massage students are fully prepared for the next steps in their careers,” said Nicole Miller, director of the College’s Massage Therapy program. “Each highlight was specifically designed to further help equip our seniors as they launch from the classroom to their careers.”
Miller also expressed gratitude to Laura Coburn of The Inns of Aurora and Sheila Bracewell and Sofie Spillman of The Spa at Woodcliff, whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in ensuring the success of this inaugural event as well as shaping the College’s immersive spa experience.
Career Event Showcases Student Talent and Regional Wellness Partnerships
Students engaged in Career Foundations sessions, practicing professional interviewing skills and receiving guidance from industry leaders; participated in the Student Clinic, providing services to guests and receiving specialist feedback; and joined a Lunch Meet & Greet, connecting directly with spa leaders to ask questions and build professional networks. Guests also enjoyed optional campus tours, gaining a first-hand look at the College’s campus, fully dedicated to health sciences education and featuring cutting-edge resources such as the Anatomy Center, the human cadaver lab and the Computerized Anatomy Resource Lab (CARL).
This inaugural Career Pathways event is part of Northeast College’s ongoing commitment to immersive learning, professional development and preparing graduates for meaningful careers in the spa and wellness industry.
