As individuals and as a community, I know all of us at Northeast are appalled by the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. Russia's terrible attacks violate the most basic ideals of democracy and independence which we hold dear. As an organization dedicated to knowledge, healing and doing no harm, Northeast College condemns this unprovoked aggression. We remain in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with all people impacted by this war, including the Russian citizens who also deplore their government's actions.

As we all process our own reactions to these difficult events, please remember that College counselors are here to help. If you need support, please contact the counseling office (counseling@northeastcollege.edu; 315.568.3064), call 2-1-1 for Lifeline, or contact your local mental health provider.

With wishes for peace,

Dr. Michael Mestan
President, Northeast College of Health Sciences
