Northeast College Welcomes Renowned Massage Therapy Experts to Faculty
Northeast College of Health Sciences has officially welcomed two of the massage therapy profession's most respected educators to its faculty for the Fall 2026 trimester. Beginning this September, Ruth Werner and Dr. Susan G. Salvo have brought decades of clinical, teaching and publishing experience directly to the College's Massage Therapy program, offering students the unprecedented opportunity to learn from the very authors whose textbooks have helped educate generations of massage therapists worldwide.

Salvo brings more than 40 years of leadership in massage therapy education, having taught thousands of students while helping develop curricula and advance professional standards across the field.
National Recognition at the 2026 AMTA Convention
Further elevating the program's academic distinction, both Werner and Salvo were featured speakers at the 2026 American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) National Convention in Denver. Out of a profession representing more than 300,000 therapists nationwide, they were among just 42 elite educators chosen to present at the industry's premier event, delivering critical continuing education on clinical research and advanced pain management to the organization's 110,000-plus members.
