Northeast College Names Stefanie Newcomb Vice President of Finance
SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — Northeast College of Health Sciences has appointed Stefanie Newcomb as vice president of finance. She began in that role on Jan. 20, 2026.
Newcomb brings more than 18 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including higher education finance leadership. She has a strong track record of strengthening internal controls, improving reporting transparency, and partnering with senior leaders and governing boards.
Reporting to Northeast College President Dr. Michael A. Mestan, Newcomb will provide leadership for the College’s financial operations and long-term financial planning in support of institutional sustainability and the College’s mission.
Most recently, Newcomb served as director of budget and financial operations at NUAIR, a not-for-profit organization focused on advancing the drone and uncrewed aircraft systems industry. She previously held controller-level roles with the City of Geneva. Her higher education experience includes several years at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she advanced through increasingly responsible finance positions.
“After completing a nationwide search, we are pleased to welcome Stefanie Newcomb to Northeast College as our vice president of finance,” Mestan said. “Her experience, collaborative approach and steady leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen financial stewardship in support of our students, faculty and staff.”
Newcomb succeeds Karen Quest, outgoing vice president, who is retiring after a lengthy career at the College.
