Northeast College of Health Sciences’ Levittown Health Center hosted Services for Those Who Serve/Served, a new outreach event for members of the U.S. military, Veterans and their families, on May 10, 2025. Held on the College’s Long Island Campus, the free event welcomed nearly 30 organizations from Nassau and Suffolk counties that provide support and resources to service members.
The Northeast College of Health Sciences community was well represented at the New York State Chiropractic Association (NYSCA) Spring Convention held in Connecticut from March 28-30, 2025. Twenty-two doctor of chiropractic students took the trip, led by Student NYSCA President Kaila Markland and Student NYSCA advisor Dr. Bill Lauretti.
The United States remains a popular study-abroad destination, and Northeast College of Health Sciences knows this firsthand: nearly 20 % of current Northeast College students are from Canada, and many Canadian alumni have returned to their home country to open their practice or join an integrative healthcare center. To best support those students, Northeast offers Canadian students significant financial aid options and student services to provide better access to its doctor of chiropractic degree, as well as other graduate offerings.
More than ever, athletes turn to a core team of healthcare professionals, including chiropractors and nutrition experts, to attain optimal health. Northeast College of Health Sciences is busy preparing students to take on these trusted roles to help competitors reach peak performance and prevent and recover from injuries.
More than 25 representatives from Northeast College of Health Sciences traveled to Washington, D.C. to lobby US Congress in support of the chiropractic profession and attend the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) Engage conference Jan. 23-25, 2025.
Northeast College of Health Sciences has a significant impact on the economic health of its communities, including the Finger Lakes and New York state regions. According to the biennial economic impact study by The Commission on Independent Colleges & Universities in New York (CICU), Northeast College contributed $44.4 million to the local and state economy in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
