**The indirect expenses indicated above are only an estimate and may be different for each individual student based on individual factors such as location of residence, distance from clinical rotation sites, need for housing when at distant clinical rotation site, etc.

  • As a hybrid program, students are required to be on campus for the entirety of the first trimester and the first two weeks of the fourth trimester (i.e., the very beginning of the second year). Students must be also on campus in the last 1-2 weeks of the program for their end-of-program examinations/evaluation.
  • Travel and housing expenses, particularly in the clinical phase (i.e., second year) of the program can vary significantly based on individual student circumstances.
  • Students can opt to live on campus for any portion of or the entire two years of the program to benefit from the Northeast College’s low housing and food costs. On-campus housing and food costs are estimated at $4,512 per trimester.
  • Estimated potential travel and housing expenses to attend distant clinical rotations is based on the program requiring students to complete nine 5-week rotations.
    • Researching flight costs to currently planned clinical rotations, it is estimated that the average cost for students needing to fly to different rotations sites is $380 per flight. If a student needed to fly to all 9 rotations and fly to campus for the on-campus requirements, the estimated flight costs would be $3,700 (10 round trip flights at $370.00).
    • Researching housing costs near the location of currently planned clinical rotations, it is estimated that the average costs for students needing housing to complete distant clinical rotations is $5,954 per trimester (~$1984 per 5-week rotation). If a student needed non-campus housing for all nine rotations, the estimated housing costs would be $17,862.
    • Total flight and additional housing expenses for students who need to fly to all nine clinical locations and fly to campus for the first two weeks of the fourth trimester is estimated at $21,562.

Northeast College of Health Sciences has applied for Accreditation - Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Northeast College of Health Sciences anticipates matriculating its first class in September 2026, pending achieving Accreditation - Provisional status at the April 2026 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

Students cannot be matriculated or enrolled without this accreditation. Should the program not receive ARC-PA provisional accreditation, the anticipated program start will be delayed until accreditation is received.

The M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies program is currently pending approval of the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
