Students exploring a career in chiropractic are gaining more than a glimpse of what it’s like to learn at Northeast College of Health Sciences, with campus locations in Seneca Falls in New York’s Finger Lakes region and Long Island in the New York City metropolitan area.

By welcoming future students into their clinics, these graduates shared their career journeys, answered questions and showed how a Northeast education can lead to rewarding careers and thriving practices. For Stephen Connor (D.C. ’99), hosting an On the Road event gave prospective students and their families the kind of insight he wished he had when he explored a career in chiropractic.

They are stepping into the practices and professional journeys of Northeast graduates who once stood exactly where they are today. Beginning in Winter 2026, Northeast On the Road events invited prospective students inside clinics where alumni work across the United States and Canada, giving them the opportunity to experience firsthand where an education and career in chiropractic can lead.

The first three Northeast On the Road events held in alumni practices took place in Oakville, Ontario, with Dr. Stephen Connor; Rockville, Maryland, with Dr. Peter Rosa; and State College, Pennsylvania, with Dr. Morgan Huey.

“The decision to become a chiropractor is a big one. It takes a commitment of time, money and a dedication to learning,” said Dr. Connor. “I wanted students and their families to have a chance to ask questions, understand their options and make this decision with confidence, knowing they are making the right decision by attending Northeast.” By welcoming future students into their clinics, these graduates shared their career journeys, answered questions and showed how a Northeast education can lead to rewarding careers and thriving practices. For Stephen Connor (D.C. ’99), hosting an On the Road event gave prospective students and their families the kind of insight he wished he had when he explored a career in chiropractic.

As a Canadian student preparing to return home to practice, Connor experienced firsthand the value of Northeast’s support system. He credits the College’s business education, faculty and clinical mentors with helping him build the foundation needed to successfully open and grow his practice.

Building a Career Around Your Passions

Northeast alumna Morgan Huey (D.C. ’19), owner of Backcountry Spine & Sport, hosted an On the Road event for the College, giving future chiropractors an inside look at her passion for chiropractic care and how she built a practice around her specialties in sports performance and women’s health.

A Webster Technique certified chiropractor, Huey specializes in perinatal chiropractic care while also working with patients of all ages. Her practice integrates spinal and joint manipulation, soft tissue therapies, rehabilitation and performance training to help patients restore health, improve function and return to the activities they love. For participants, the experience offered a firsthand look at how chiropractors can build careers around their individual interests and areas of passion.

Huey’s career also reflects the diverse experiences available to Northeast students. After earning her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she completed her D.C. degree at New York Chiropractic College, the forerunner of Northeast College, where she pursued additional training in sports science and human performance and became a certified RockTape provider. Her clinical experiences included working with Division I summer league baseball players, expectant mothers and newborns and veterans at the Rochester VA Hospital.

A Family Legacy in Chiropractic

During Winter Trimester 2026, Northeast alumnus Peter Rosa (D.C. ’20) hosted a Northeast On the Road event at Rosa Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Center in Rockville, Maryland, giving prospective students a firsthand look at his family’s practice, his approach to patient care and a multigenerational legacy in chiropractic.

Participants saw how Rosa integrates chiropractic and physical therapy while addressing the underlying causes of pain rather than simply treating symptoms. The experience showed students how a D.C. degree can serve as the foundation for a career focused on patient education and helping people take an active role in their health.

Rosa’s journey is part of a family tradition in chiropractic spanning three generations of Northeast alumni. His father, Dr. John Rosa (D.C. ’92), and uncle, Dr. Rick Rosa (D.C. ’96, M.S. ’25), are both graduates of New York Chiropractic College, now Northeast College of Health Sciences. Before Northeast, Peter earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Catholic University of America, where he was also an NCAA Division III collegiate football player.
