Northeast Passion and Partnerships Forge Strong Futures

Matters of the Heart: From sharing anatomy sketches with classmates at Northeast to teaching at the college level today, Dr. Rhiannon Kollar continues to inspire a love of learning.

For Rhiannon Kollars (D.C. ’22), her #NortheastBlue love story began with a simple “good morning.” Sitting outside the cadaver lab sketching study guides, she didn’t expect that fellow student Jonathan Kollars (D.C. ’22) stopping to greet her would spark a friendship that quickly turned into love. By the start of their second trimester, they were inseparable, already dreaming of a life and health and wellness practice together. They married before their ninth trimester.

As student clerks, the couple trained under different clinicians and often went days without seeing each other. The distance only strengthened their commitment to practice side by side. On Jan. 16, 2023, they opened Pre-Form Movement Center in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a space built on shared passion, dedication and the desire to help others live healthier lives.

Life grew alongside their practice. In 2025, the Kollars welcomed their daughter Ellie. Rhiannon now teaches anatomy at McDaniel College while providing chiropractic care, and Jonathan travels with the all-Navy sports teams. Both continue to work side by side at their practice, building their future, serving their patients and community and living the dream they envisioned during their final months of school.

More #NortheastBlue Connections That Began Here.

Team Reyes: Building Careers, and Practices, Together

For husband-and-wife team Matt (D.C. ’13) and Annie Reyes (D.C. ’14), attending Northeast College became even more than their original goals of securing the best science-driven, innovative education, it’s where they found each other.

“I love going into the office and serving patients alongside my husband,” Annie shares. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to watch our patients grow in their understanding of chiropractic and how it can help. Seeing our team and patients empowered to take charge of their health beyond what they thought possible is amazing.”

The couple’s story began at trivia night at Bull’s Run in Seneca Falls, where mutual friends introduced them during their final trimesters of chiropractic studies. After graduation, they married and returned to Annie’s hometown of State College, Pa., to open Reyes Active Body Chiropractic, serving patients of all ages.

The Reyes’ journey shows the power of connections fueled by a love for the health sciences and a commitment to the College community.

Team Foss: Rooted in Northeast, United in Wellness

For the Foss family, #NortheastBlue has always been about more than education — it’s where love, friendship and wellness intersect. Not only did the College give her the tools to become a successful chiropractor, Christine Foss (D.C. ’94) also met her husband, Glenn Foss (D.C. ’94), and was able to pursue her own health goals along the way.

From jogging along Lower Lake Road to launching a wellness program with aerobics and step classes at the Standard Process Health and Fitness Center, her time at Northeast built lasting memories. And the tradition continues: the Fosses’ eldest daughter taught yoga at the same health center while attending the College, and, in true Foss fashion, met her own husband there too.

These journeys, just a few among many at the College, show what the #NortheastBlue community is truly built on: partnerships that connect students, faculty and alumni, spark collaboration and empower each other to grow professionally and make a lasting impact in their fields and communities.
